The Big Green Pocketbook Lapbook Activities

Big Green Pocketbook Book
Use the purse pieces provided to create a paper pocketbook for your lapbook. Your student can store the cards provided (lollipops, keychain, crayons, bus ticket, candy, and calendar) in the purse.

Use the cards for a memory game or for story sequencing.

L Is for Lollipop Simple Fold
Introduce your student to the letter L. Your student will put her fine motor skills to use by tracing the Ls provided.

Mama’s Pocketbook Matchbook
Introduce or review the color blue. Color and paste the pocketbook into the matchbook.

My Crayons Simple Fold with Pocket
Color the crayons. Store them in the pocket and glue the pocket inside the simple fold book. You can use the crayons for a memory game (instructions found in the The Big Green Pocketbook lapbook file).

Three Green Things Mini-book
Use this book to introduce or review the color green. Color, cut and paste the broccoli, leaf, and frog inside this book.

Ice Cream Cone Shape
The little girl in The Big Green Pocketbook enjoys some ice cream with her mom.

You can use the printable ice cream cone for many different activities:

Use it to teach colors. Instruct your student to color each scoop a different color and glue into his lapbook.
Use it to teach counting. Let yours student color the scoops however he wants and number the scoops. Let him glue the scoops in the correct order.
An older student could use this for learning ordinal numbers (write 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. on the pieces).
You could color a few to look like vanilla ice cream, a few to look like chocolate, and a few to look like strawberry. Use the scoops for some simple math problems.

My Name Simple Fold
Let your student type her name on the computer just like the girl in the story did on the typewriter. Paste the name inside the book.
