This project is different than some of the other lapbooks we have at Homeschool Share. I created it for my son as a book report lapbook, and he used it to show and tell at his book club.
All you need to get started is the book, Five True Dog Stories by Margaret Davidson and the free Five True Stories Lapbook. The dog stories in Five True Dog Stories will amaze and captivate your young reader.
Five True Dogs Lapbook Information
This is a short chapter book (47 pages) for early readers; it includes true stories about five dogs: Dox, Grip, Wolf, Barry, and Balto.
The mini-books have been designed for an interactive notebook. Each dog has a main page. Print the five main pages on cardstock. Print out the rest of your mini-books, complete them, and glue them to the areas indicated on the main pages. In a way, this is a lapbook in a notebook.
Alternatively, you could use the mini-books for a lapbook. It’s up to you.
