Tab Book Lapbook Templates
Tab Books are an easy way to organize information for a topic. They are a great choice for your student’s lapbook because they can hold a lot of information without taking up a lot of space, and they add a professional look.
Your student can write the topic and draw a graphic on the cover and then divide the information about that topic by tabs.
For instance, if your student is completing a lapbook on alligators, he could make a tab book on alligator anatomy. Each page would be about a different aspect of alligator anatomy: skin, teeth, claws, tail, etc.
Tab Book with Three Tabs
This simple book can be used horizontally or vertically. It’s great for a variety of topics. You simply cut out the pages and stack them with the tabs in order and the cover on top. Then you secure with staples on the left side.
This tab book is perfect for younger students as it is easy for them to manipulate, but it works for older students, too.

Tab Book with Four Tabs
This horizontal tab book has a cover and four pages. You can only see part of the book in the image below because it is a two page template.

Tab Book with Five Tabs
This five tab book can be used horizontally or vertically. You can only see part of the book in the image below because it is a two page template.
More tabs gives your student an opportunity to include more facets of a topic. These are great for older students who want to dive deeper into research.

Tab Book with Six Tabs
Most tab books have all of the tabs lining up on one side of the book, but the six tab book is unique. In addition to the cover page, it has two pages with tabs at the top, two pages with tabs at the right side, and two pages with tabs on the bottom.
This is also a two page template.
